1. Once logged in to the back end, select "Components" and then "Virtuemart".

2. From the menu on the left, select "Add Product".

3. Enter your product details.

SKU - Unique item number, like 0001 or PD-011.
Name - Product name
Product Price(Net) - Selling price
Short Description - A description which will be next to a product once the Category Page is shown
Product Description - Full product description, which will be shown, once the Product page is displayed
Categories - Select the relevant product category, to select multiple categories hold "CTRL" button

4. In the top tabs select "Product Images" to upload images of the product.
Don't worry about the Thumbnail image, it will get created automatically.
To upload Image, press "Browse" below to "Full image".
Select the image from your hard drive and press open.

5. (Optional) You can select "Product Dimensions and Weight" to add the Length, Width and Weight. Weight comes in handy, if you have shipping costs set up by weight.

6. (Optional) In the "Product Status" tab, "In Stock" field you can set the quantity which you have, so you would not sell more than you have.

7. To save the New Product, press "Save" in the top right corner. You can save at any time.
